Harley slowly sets her slice of pizza down, suddenly feeling like she's gonna vomit. Inwardly, her heart sinks. Outwardly, she forces herself to smile and tells him, “Have fun!”
“You're more than welcome to come,” Rick says.
“Nah, I don't wanna get in the way of your boys trip. Besides, I'm a literal terrorist. Probably a bad mix.”
He hasn't seen his army buddies in years and he deserves to spend some time to himself without her dragging him down with her baggage. Also, a small part of her wants to prove to herself that she can function without him.

He kisses back automatically—one hand going to her thigh and the other to the back of her neck to pull her closer. He vaguely registers whatshername (she may have told him her name, he wasn’t paying attention) storming off in a huff. He’s too busy to really give a shit.

Rick makes a move to intervene but before he can she's punching the guy right in the face—most likely breaking his nose, if the sickening crack she hears is any indication.
“Fucking bitch!” he screams, as Harley grabs Rick's hand so they can keep walking.
Once they're a safe distance away, Rick leans down to whisper in her ear, “Good girl.”
It sends a delightful shiver down her spine.
She turns around suddenly and grabs him by the shirt collar. “Take me home, right the fuck now, Colonel,” she demands.
