A quick, thwipping sound was heard, and Grian’s leg screamed. Or maybe that was Grian himself, he didn’t know. An arrow pierced right in his calf, and thick red blood poured from the wound.
His knees buckled and he fell hard against the dirt, wings sprawled ungracefully, and another arrow stuck at the medians of his feathers. He heard a more familiar thwipping sound, and then the screeches of two pillagers falling and despawning. Scar knelt down to check if Grian was conscious. He was. Shit.
Grian was grounded. He groaned from pain and tears pricked unceremoniously in his eyes.
“Pillagers.” Scar said breathy.
