There, inside the open door of the VLT/R that had already flown off significantly from the ledge of the floating island, was someone who definitely, almost definitely, would give him shit for being reckless or stupid all day and all night if she could. But Lord knows he'd let her because he knew she was just as similar as he was when it came to making sure no one would stand in their world's way.
There was Jett, her white hair in a messy ponytail threatening to come undone, standing dangerously close to the door with the plane in motion. Her blue eyes were as sharp as her aim with that sniper rifle she lowered from her vision - and those eyes locked with Phoenix's own brown ones.

“Trying to keep you from dying,” Jamie explained, “you were freezing, mate.”

Yoru has always been the lone wolf of the VALORANT Protocol. Usually, he doesn't mind. But deep down, it looks nice to have somebody (Phoenix is not enough, lmao). During a sleepless night, he realizes he has a crush on Skye. So, he writes little love notes and leaves them in her mailbox. She finds them and thinks it's really sweet; she feels special. Although there is no signature,. Meanwhile, Yoru goes on a mission to a secret museum, touches one of his ancestor's artifacts, and has a vision. The outcome is that blue scars appear when he teleports, and night terrors. Skye figures out that it was Yoru who wrote them and helps him overcome whatever that artifact did to him. Also, Cypher loves secrets, but he's nice about it.

And that was the first thing that really pissed Phoenix off; maybe he and Yoru were both pretty awful at working with others when carrying out a mission, but that didn't matter. The results of this mission turned out pretty good in the end because of team effort (in which Phoenix vouches he did at least 60% of the work).

The Astral Express found themselves on Punklorde to mess around a bit, real happy and chill, right? Chill, maybe. Happy, around 4/5 of the Express would say yeah.. Phoenix would not. He backed out of going to a theater with Jett and Iso because of the past. Yet, he cowered to on a high, high rooftop, which held far too many memories for his liking.
An old “friend”, one that turned against him, reintroduces himself into Phoenix’s life… For better or worse. (Almost definitely worse, actually.)
That rooftop gains yet another memory, unfortunately for Phoenix.
