Summary
As much as I love George, I didn't love his behavior in Early season 5. I get the distrust between him and James but I didn't understand him when he said Teresa was "hit hard." Teresa was probably sad and despondent about James leaving but I wouldn't say she was "hit hard" and James definitely didn't just walk away. She was hit hard by Tony's death but not necessarily by James. I'd hate to add more onto Teresa's pain but I thought of something that might explain Georges behavior.
Side Note: I'm not really sure about the time line and how long they were in phoenix... but these events really seem like it could have been canon. My writing also may not be grammatically correct & may not include a ton of details but I just wanted to share the idea. If you read it and like it, please feel free to right your own better version because I'd love to read it! I love brainstorming ideas but the act of writing is most definitely not my forte.

Summary
Why do we love Teresa and James? Because of the people they were and the experiences they had, but most importantly because they gave us the hottest SLOW BURN in modern TV.
What is a slow burn? It’s a character-driven relationship that takes time to develop, where the protagonists meet under tenuous circumstances and slowly invade each other’s space, causing each other doubts, pain, turmoil and insecurity. A slow burn follows the characters as they fall in love gradually, presenting a realistic and genuine romantic experience. It allows the fans to watch the progression and transformation of their relationship over time. Since the storyline is slower paced than a love at first sight or a fast hook-up, the fans become invested and the payoff is much more rewarding!
A slow burn romance either explodes or fizzles out. Any ending feels like a personal experience to the fans due to the time and effort taken to get the protagonists to the point of clarity. Teresa and James lived through all the stages of a slow burn, the dangers of the crime world in the background, and all this has made them the most addictive couple.

Summary
Here is my attempt to put on paper how I imagine Teresa’s and James’s lives after they escaped the narco world. The story takes place nine years after they successfully escaped to Langebaan, South Africa, and five years after Pote served his sentence and joined them. South Africa is a country where many accents of English are spoken and thus it provides a perfect cover.
Teresa and James have their first son, Tony, who is 4 at the time the events take place. Tony is born the year after Pote’s return as once Pote completed the mission of eliminating Boaz, Teresa felt safe to start a family. They have a second son, George, who is 3, born the year after.
The events happen in the future, however they also relate to the past, before and after the escape from the narco world, and before they are forced to look back!

Summary
This one is an imaginary, somehow extended scene. Because I loved the balcony scene in Malta. Because it was the moment I felt they are in love, I had the need to see more of their dynamic, and because we didn’t get it, I imagined it.
So, I created a scene somewhere in Episode 3 Season 3, after they came home from the club party, before KG comes. I imagined also she tells him that line "I was that girl when you met me" before he tells it again with Pote by her side, and as I got you used to (or I will), I tried somehow to translate into a stream of thoughts what their connection meant to me in those episodes.
And how I interpreted it, maybe what I wished it was, because definitely we can have divergent opinions about it. If you do, please tell me, I am fascinated by the variety of meanings some scenes transmit. Also, this one is lighter than the other one, because it’s not about a consuming forbidden love, but about the acknowledging of it. If you have any suggestions, please write them here. Here it goes, please enjoy.
And the song I see here is Nothing Else Matters, Metallica (must say it’s one of my all time favorite songs, I had it at my wedding, so imagine...but the lyrics are so good and fitting :D) -

What happens when Teresa ends up in the hands of Devon Finch? And how does everything get to be okay in the end?
My version of how season 4 could go down - with some extra storylines thrown in to keep things interesting (hopefully).
What exactly is it about? Well you'll have to wait and see :)
