Pete took a step back, feeling the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. He had always known Vegas was unpredictable, but this was a whole new level of crazy. "I'm serious," Pete said, his voice lethal. "Stay away from me, or I will eventually kill you." Vegas managed to laugh, "My little Pete," he said, "you really don't understand how this works, do you? You're mine. Mine to consume entirely. Every inch of your delectable self is mine—mine to hold, mine to caress, mine to keep. Wherever you are, even if it is hell, I will find you. And if I have to fill this city with bodies to have you, I will."
