And speak of the devil, Clover sees Starlo in the garden where they are already, and when they see him, their mood shifts to being more happy and lighthearted.
“Howdy, Clover! Long time no see, huh?” Starlo gives them a wave, “And you waited right at the spot I asked ya to, I guess I can always count on you!”
Clover lets out a giggle, finding themselves unsure of what to say, and yet responding with, “Well of course! You asked me to wait here, after all!” They can’t help but look intensely at Starlo’s eyes, now with more infatuation than ever, “Why’d you take so long anyway?”
“Whaaat? Did I really take that long? Guess I got a lil’ nervous! I was trying to prepare, you know?”
On a day that Clover is free from the busywork that is college, Starlo invites them over so the two can catch up, saying that he also has something important to tell them. Clover accepts, yet at the same time denying the very real and growing romantic feelings they have for him.
Clover thinks that this totally means Starlo likes them back, but that ain't realistic...

The barrier was shattered and monsterkind finally got their freedom, but what of the humans that came before?

But with so little power left remaining after destroying the barrier, a half-measure would have to be taken.
Better than nothing, right? And for some of them, much more preferable to how they were before and certainly during their deaths.
The Sixth and final SOUL is the last to awaken, and by that point, things have been quiet in the Underground for quite a while.
But there is still one more thing to be done, one more person to save, and in many ways they're tied to that Sixth SOUL as well as the Underground's self proclaimed caretaker.
A second chance and a happier life awaits Clover and Kanako if they can just grasp it.
