Kinkmeme Prompt (XXI:16): At a certain time each sweep, all of-age seadwellers flop onto the beaches and dig themselves into the sand. Landdwellers may, if they are so inclined, head down to the shore to catch themselves a prince or princess.
*
The seafolk are singing and below there are always takers for what is on offer. Below there are participants, and voyeurs, and vendors with refreshments. On the cliffs, Aradia thumbs on her recorder and settles in to try to puzzle out an ancient written language from only these few come-hither calls. It is an impossible task. She is enjoying herself immensely.

Summary
Izuku Midoriya has always ignored the instinctual pull of the changing seasons.
Perhaps it was due to his own personal aversion towards the Alphas of his pod, or maybe the ideals of siring children for a person he would only meet in passing, but Izuku has sworn to himself he would never partake in the Spawning Season.
Yet when his best friend requests him to come in order to watch her back, how could he say no? Izuku would show up, help Uraraka pick a suitable mate, and leave the moment the season was done.
He didn't expect to be caught between a bitter show down for his hand. Let alone that the two competitors would be none other than his childhood tormentor, and the future ruler of another Merfolk pod. Things could never go easy for the young Mer, it seemed.
