Summary
Twenty-six hermits, scattered through the universe.
Grian has a problem, and it’s in the form of secrets he never planned on letting go of being yanked out by the roots. Tango has a problem, and it’s called Grian and secrets he’s kept. Impulse, Etho, and Mumbo have problems as well, from being caught in the middle of fracturing friendships to revealing the genocide of your entire race to the aftermath of stealing your best friend’s soul. (Scar and Pearl fall along unexpected sides, while Skizz falls back on his status of not actually a Hermit.)
Back on Season Seven in the wake of the fall of Season Eight, seven Hermits and some unexpected guests shatter along faultlines on the journey to return to twenty-six.

Summary
After discarding everything except his sword and his purse, both of which hung at his belt, he headed back down, finding a seat in a more secluded corner of the main bar, two bartenders hurriedly taking orders and heading back inside to the kitchen.
It didn’t take Impulse long to realize that most of this town was human—and at first, he’d assumed Jimmy was the only exception. But when another bartender came rushing out of the kitchen, Impulse quickly registered the small set of white wings on his back, dark hair glinting in the dim light of the tavern.
Interesting.
One hesitant thought flashed through Impulse’s mind, but he shoved it back down. Surely not. It wouldn’t be that easy for one of… them to hide.

So why, as Etho recited his final promise – “I am yours” – did Ren still feel that curdling, ice-cold dread traveling through him? He shook it off along with the still-lingering want, allowing his grief to catch him instead again. There was no time for this sort of tumultuous thinking, no time to dig into the why it bothered Ren so deeply.
Ren’s duty as king was first.
Ren raised the sword above his head, dipping it to either side of Etho’s shoulders. “I do hereby knight thee, Sir Ethoslab, into the order of the Red Army. Arise, Knight, and be recognized.”
And if Ren wished he could say something else, who was to say?

“Plus, it was ours,” Skizz peeked around the corner in front of them. “They stole it.”

The shudder that rolled through Joel was involuntary but it got a good-hearted laugh out of everyone in the circle they were standing in.

Back then he didn't feel so weak.For some reason, the three had Etho constantly on the brink of regression. Which wasn't good. They were in a murder game and with their limited time, the feasible solution was not to feel small. And with three other teammates hovering over him, Etho couldn't hide away --- he couldn't feel small in peace.

But she'd much rather deal with him than whatever nonsense Skizz and Tango were plotting with this "Heart Foundation". Cleo also didn't anticipate "babysitting" another regressed teammate, for the second season in a row. Granted, she's finding Etho is a lot better than Bdubs and Scar were, but he's also different in a lot of ways, finding her footing is difficult.
