Summary
After a heated confrontation with the Archbishop Rhea, Jeralt Eisner leaves the monastery behind with his eerily quite daughter, Byleth, in hand. He seeks out work in his homeland of Faerghus, only to be given an offer from the king himself: the chance to have consistent work and a safe place to raise his daughter.
Byleth is viewed as an oddity in Fhirdiad, extremely intelligent and talented for one her age, but rarely saying a word to anyone. She must learn to navigate her life as a commoner amongst the Faerghus nobility all while listening to the strange girl who resides within her dreams.
