Summary
He gave his son up for adoption, ensuring no one could ever connect the boy to him. After, he tried to do better, for the son he would never know. Finding out someone used his DNA to help clone Superman? He had to help that child since there was nothing he could do now for his own son.
Batman was very confused to be contacted by Lex Luthor of all people but someone cloning Superman was not a good idea...and of course his newest menace child latched on to said clone. Then again the clone seemed to have imprinted on his son (not his son, not legally) like a duckling.
Danny wished his parents could be normal, even if only occasionally. He loved them, loved his family. Maybe the portal not working would make them rethink things? And how dangerous could it be to give Sam the photo she wanted?

Summary
The Lazarus pit has traces of Ectoplasm mixed in the water which causes the sped-up healing and revival, causing the violent burst.
A ghost reveals in the GZ that ectoplasm has been gained and used in the past as miracle cure in the human realms. Side effects include violent outbursts, seeing (lesser) spirits, and psychic abilities. Natural reoccurring portals release traces of ectoplasm near elemental sources such as water, which is the easiest way for the two to mix.Just another story where I try to attempt to connect a little on the more indirect route that can be explained with one side and an example from the other side. A bit of an episode diverge of 3x20, The Fallen (Thea's resurrection). [Rushed story].
