After the events of her adventures in Ultima Thule, the former Warrior of Light suffered immense injuries, leading her to an extensive recovery process. She's always been quick to heal, however, and has mostly returned to normal. Much of her recovery process took place within the halls of Borel Manor, where Aymeric had been tending to her thanks to the romantic relationship they formed after she returned from the First. With the world at peace and the Warrior of Light well and mostly recovered, the time has finally come for him to propose marriage.
Even after the years have made their passage, however, there's a still a piece of an old love that the Warrior of Light holds onto for her first dear friend, Haurchefant Greystone. The memories, precious as they are, still come back to her, and she can't help but remember what they had. Will she allow this to hold her back from moving on? Does she feel ready to take the next step with the Lord Commander?

How does the story of this sun go, as she travels through the stars? Like so many others, this is a story of meetings, of chance encounters. Endless possibilities of what could be and what never was. How does one change the path well walked to a road less traveled? When sentiment rises above all else, the heart's will can alter the tale once carved in stone. What familiar fragments shall remain when the cracked foundation is torn asunder and rebuilt anew? Hello, new old story! What laughter and tears shall ever be familiar, and what new joys and sorrow shall join the chorus?
Mistakes and choices were made in the past and future, and now there are Four Warriors of Light who could all easily take center stage and be the hero. However, one does appear to shine brighter than the others, perhaps that's whom the story is meant for?
Even then, having FOUR Warriors of Light can't be a bad thing, right? The established timeline won't change that much...

The fic is my headcanon sequence for the MSQ "In Crimson It Began", which features the first major encounter with Zenos in Stormblood. So for those not in Stormblood, spoilers ahead, as I used a good majority of the dialogue from the cutscenes and then flourished from there, and did as best as I could with the combat from the duty event. This fic features multiple WoLs and OCs (pretty much my light/full-party friends group of WoL's/Non-WoL's including my own two boys Kaine Daemon (WoL) and Aristide Lorin (Non-WoL).

This is just me writing about my experience playing the game, and I will update through the main story quest, maybe side quests or job quests if they're interesting. Characters might a little OoC because they've only had like 2 lines of dialogue so far (even though we defeated primals together and shit), because while the game is super pretty and the gameplay is fun, the character development is tedious af, so I'm taking matters in my own hands. Starts at: Escape from Castrum Centri (MSQ 46). Currently at: Post-Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Patches 2.0 - 2.5., Crystal Tower Questline.
