It's been long suspected that wirebugs are smarter creatures than other insects of even their size. They're powerful, acrobatic, and clever. It isn't strange even to call them beautiful. The people of Kamura Village don't keep or breed them; they live wild, and aid hunters at their own discretion. Few have ever seen their home, below the Shrine Ruins; those lands are sacred, and not just anyone is allowed to enter.
What an honor it would be, to walk among their nests and witness them at home, to see what they do in great numbers. To participate in their breeding season...
...one could even describe such an experience as enlightening...

Space travel was difficult. A lot of it was spent in hermetic suits, floating in zero G. The gravity and air generators weren't turned on outside of mealtimes, for energy saving.
Humans were very resilient but complete isolation was hard on them. The first long-term missions had terrible effects on the crew's mental health.It's now policy to be assigned a slug before embarking. The alien species was discovered on a nearby planet and had been studied for decades at this point. And released as a living sextoy 8 years ago.
Slugs looked like the earth animal but were found to be as intelligent as humans. Their communication was possible through chemical exchanges directly through the blood, so they latched on to a mucous membrane and implanted long term.
All space faring crew had a slug squirming inside their pussies or asses. Or both.Series

It was rare for the family to have a weekend without any play auditions, gymnastics practices, or even some family party or community event. In fact, seeing all of the Madrigals in one was reserved for Sunday Mass. On most days, they were scattered to and fro with multiple responsibilities.
However, when it was an option to have a weekend to themselves, they finally had time to relax, unwind, and —
Oh, who were they kidding? The Madrigals didn’t relax when they had free time. When it was a free weekend, it was not to be spent on frivolous activities. Instead, they did the one thing most children (and adults) dreaded: cleaning Casita from top to bottom.
However, there are some lessons that need to be taught the hard way. Namely, that one Madrigal in particular couldn’t keep a room clean. In fact, he could even bring in an infestation without knowing it.
Quite literally, in some cases.
OR
The Madrigals attend to some house chores during a rare free weekend and discover a cockroach infestation aided by one Camilo Madrigal. Chaos ensues.
