Summary
Inosuke heard the hissing of the air before he ever laid eyes on the human. The sound of lungs expanding, pushing beyond their capacity. Screaming for respite even as the ting of blade hitting a demon's claws began to overpower it. The sound signaling danger of only one kind. A Demon Slayer.
Slow to update but trying to get back into it. Reworked some of the previous chapters to get a feel of it again. Feeling better, will be working on this again. Thank you for everyone who commented on this and kudos it. It has kept me wanting to continue this and thinking about where i want the story to go. Writing might feel a bit off for a few chapters until i get the flow again but ill go back and edit them as it happens.

Higuchi Ayame was a Demon Slayer borne of tragedy. Now, all she has left of her hometown is the Kamado siblings - Tanjirou and Nezuko. With her Shishou's expectations on her shoulders, she was going to wield her katana and her Breath of Flame and burn down anything that stands in their way.
She wasn't going to rest until Kibutsuji Muzan rested at her feet in a pile of ashes.

Inosuke huffed. Zenitsu was so confusing. Most of the time, Inosuke just wanted to bite him—he looked very bitable—but Tanjiro had informed him this was not something humans were supposed to do.
Zenitsu waved his hands frantically. “Look—Inosuke—it’s not like—you’re super pretty and all, like really hot! But I—well, I guess Nezuko doesn’t like me as much as you do, but—!”
Inosuke jumped up. “I totally like you better!” The triumphant feeling coursed through him. Warm. The pink of Zenitsu’s cheeks was funny and his neck was very funny. Very bitable. He wanted to sink his teeth into the red flush of his skin.
Zenitsu licked his lips. “Inosuke…what are you thinking?”
