After he was crowned Viserys insisted on annulling the marriage between him and his cousin Aemma. Well saying Viserys insisted would be like saying he had any common sense, his council said he had no heir, he did, his brother Daemon, the reason he had a crown on his head. But we digress, Rhaenys and her husband, offered their daughter Leana, when she was older, but of course Viserys could not marry her, no he had to marry the pious Alicent Hightower. The so-called king could not even face Aemma and tell her he was annulling their marriage; no, he sent his brother to tell her. Decreeing that the two must be wed. Wed the two did, they wed and then they vanished.
Except now the magic of the seven is dying Dorne is staging a war, and the lord of tides has been killed. Daemon and Aemma must return to the seven with their magically powerful twins and their god like eldest son. Watch them fight a war all while Viserys suffers from the weight of his foolish choices.

A secret that she has chosen to keep from him. But soon this secret finds its way to him in the form of another's lips and a rage unlike any other boils within him. He is tasked with a new mission. Go to Winterfell. Destroy Arya's secret. But he knows he won't be able to do so. Because this secret is one that even he, a prized assassin of the faceless, cannot bring himself to ruin. So he plots a different course of action. Will he and Arya succeed? Or will they find themselves being given the gift from the Order that had once sheltered them in their hours of need?
A one-shot arranged as snippets of time. Due to this it may read in a somewhat stilted manner. Because it doesn't have tightly clarified time lines for each section. But I hope you all enjoy it nonetheless.

There is a significant focus on actual preparation for the wars to come, for the winter to come, and to the various and sundry matters of military and civilian logistics, training, trade, espionage, alliances, and so on and so forth.
Arya's connections with Braavos are also brought into play, as a priest of the Many-Faced God, a Faceless Man, and as someone who trained in Westeros with Syrio Forel, former First Sword to the Sealord of Braavos, and who also trained in Braavos with Qarro Volantin, current First Sword to the Sealord of Braavos.,
This work contains significant planning, training, preparation, politics, logistics, and sisterly bonding!
This follows fairly closely through Season 7 only for what was shown in Winterfell. There are serious changes to the underlying events, to their meaning, the preparation for the Long Night, and to the actual relationship between the sisters during their conversations.
This continues post-Season 7 with no reference whatsoever to the show's Season 8.

October 4th 2023 Update: The end of two arcs
NOTE: This fic is a reinvention of ASoIaF/GoT (we pretend the S7/S8 disasters never happened). We pick up where the Arya/Faceless storyline left off in tWoW prologue, then merge into the universe of the TV Show, then this world. The fic will end with the ending of the Game of Thrones, and beyond.
A girl completes her training to become a faceless one. On the other side of the Narrow Sea, a man struggles not to fall in love with a memory. The two will meet again, this time as comrades-in-arms on a deadly mission. Other reunions are also inevitable, for Arya Stark has found a way to serve the Many-Faced God without surrendering her identity. How will the last of the Starks react to one of their own being an assassin? Meanwhile, Daenerys Targaryen moves on Westeros, a new King rises in the North, and everyone is still playing a Game no one can win...

She will do anything to protect the last remains of her family, but what will they think of what she has become?
An army of the dead marches for Winterfell and she feels just as cold as them.

Basically this idea that it took Arya longer to escape the faceless men and she spent that extra year or so training with them, that by the time Arya reaches Winterfell the army of the dead is already marching towards them (hence Peter Baelish is still alive). Kinda my season 8 rewrite, I don't change everything but I try to give it more justice than the show did. I do change some details from earlier seasons but that's all revealed in flashbacks/dreams and whatnot.
Rated mature because of swearing and violence and possible sexy times :)
