Lie. He had to lie. Izuku focused on the word ‘yes’. He would lie. He would. Izuku could feel everything in him pushing back. He opened his mouth. “No,” Izuku said.
“Stay,” Mindjack ordered. He moved swiftly to the end of the alleyway and glanced both ways before returning to Izuku. His next words were matter-of-fact, leaving no room for rebute even if Izuku was able to offer one. “Take off your mask.”

"Well, well," Mineta drawled, wiggling his eyebrows. "I never thought you were that kind of guy, Tokoyami. Got a secret stash of lacy things hidden in that cloak of yours?"
Tokoyami's feathers bristled slightly, but his composure remained unshaken. He wondered briefly if he should explain himself, but decided against it. Let them think what they will, he mused. Their assumptions were irrelevant.
