Being entirely honest the first part is almost too good, very well written and makes a lot of sense. Very much the reason why I'm putting this fic here honestly, I say this as a good thing because part 2 is just... Not of my tastes let's say, not particularly satisfying, I guess that's the reason why I dislike that so much. The first part could be solely a one shot and it would have been better Imo. Anyway, read it.
