Summary
They showed Frisk her soul. More of their arm was glitching now. “I realized that due to your deal with me, your soul belongs to me. And I realized that the way I am now, thanks to you even, this world isn’t the only thing I can erase.”
The strange glitching got worse, becoming more and more evident the closer it was to Frisk’s soul, and there was a bit of glitching on Chara’s face too. The sclera of Chara’s eyes turned black, exposing the white cracks across the rest of the eyes.
They leaned forward. “When I reset the world this time, you will not kill a single monster, or else I will erase you from existence. The Underground would be better off without you anyways, so don’t delude yourself into thinking I’d hesitate.”

Summary
“In the beginning, before you started this repeated genocide, I had a question. Why was I awoken from death? Why was my spirit forced to follow you?” He took a deep breath. He didn’t need it, physically, but it helped nonetheless. “Now, after watching you commit these atrocities over and over again, I believe I have an answer. The purpose of my resurrection was either to become like you, or to stop you.” The more he talked, the more he felt his rage at what Frisk had done rise. “And I refuse to become like you.”

Summary
Chara sighs; they’ve been over this. “I know. I’m trying as hard as I can.”
“Wish I could tell her.”
“...I just…” They’ve had this conversation before, Frisk knows, and there’s no point in continuing it because Chara is generally adamant. But still, they can’t help bringing it up. “I don’t want it to become a big deal. And I think it’s going to work, but I don’t want to get her hopes up, in case things go badly.” He must be feeling kinder today, because usually he’d punctuate his words by saying that Frisk already knows as much.
Still, they don’t hesitate before they respond. “You got my hopes up.”
“That was different.” Chara says, brows knitting together, and Frisk silently agrees.
