Ace was leaning over the railing looking into the horizon. Ace did not notice Marco walking up till the omega was nudging with his elbow. He looks over at the man and gives him a warm smile then looks back out at sea.
"What do you think happens after death, Marco."
The omega blinks at him surprised a twenty-year-old would even contemplate death but he clears his throat.
"I hope it's peaceful."
"If I'm taken too soon I hope I can come back."
"Would you miss me that much?"
Ace chuckles then lightly kisses Marco on the cheek making the omega blush.
"I would miss you greatly, but mainly because of Luffy. He's going to eventually surpass me, and I hope to witness his achievements." Ace says while letting out a grand smile.
Marco wakes up with tears in his eyes. He keeps dreaming of memories of Ace and he always woke up heartbroken. He had to wake up and face the day. He rubs at the back of his neck missing the mark that used to be present.

Thatch had always known something was different about Ace since the kid joined them after three months of fighting them on it. He knew it had something to do with the kid’s secondary gender, but he didn’t know what, so he left a trap.
As the kid warmed up to him, he made sure to show physical affection. Little hugs when he could, ruffled hair and a heavy drop of his scent and alpha pheromones whenever he could. It only became easier once the brat joined.
Ace had no idea what was normal for omegas. Thatch decided to play that up, finding any excuse he could to pull the younger pirate onto his lap, hand feeding him and even scenting him as his own.
The fire user didn’t know that, but everyone could see that Thatch was head over heels for the other and allowed him to corrupt court the cute omega. Marco even pitched in on several occasions, whenever the younger would look lost and confused on the events, he assured him that omegas and alpha’s did this often.
Then Thatch had to wait for the right time…Ace’s heat.
