Summary
Our story begins with Aloy’s discovery of the Memorial Grove—and the wounded Marshal she thought had died at the Embassy. She is low on patience; Kotallo is low on faith. Slowly, slowly, they will teach each other.
What follows are a succession of miracles, rewarded with acts of devotion. Each one takes them further down a path they’re not entirely sure they’re on—until it’s far too late to turn back. Who’s to say they didn’t fall in love? (If they did, this is how it happened.)

Kotallo notices the red-haired maiden when he arrives at Barren Light & wants to gain her attention, then looses his arm in battle. When he sees her again he struggles with his own worth and new feelings he never felt before. He wants to explore them, but is unsure if the huntress will find him worthy.A (mostly) canon retake on the events of Horizon Forbidden West where Aloy and Kotallo explore their feelings and evolve their relationship. Explores several points of view but focuses mostly on Aloy and Kotallo. Missions not explicitly spelled out are assumed to happen when Aloy is away from base.
