Summary

“It is ridiculous. Any sane person would hate him—declare him an enemy, or brand him an irredeemable villain. It would be simpler, too, to let him push her away, to let his bitterness and anger snuff out her sympathy. To give up.
Rook exhales, long and slow. No. It wouldn’t be easier—not for her. She never did know when to quit.
Her heart has already decided for her.
She is going to save the Dread Wolf. Whether he likes it or not.”
Or: Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but make it Dreadrook, add a heavy dose of slow burn, and dial up the angst.

Summary
Rook put his affairs in order. He hugged a confused Viago and broke up with Harding. He needled Solas, and arranged things with Emmerich because he understands these things. He didn't say anything to anyone else, because it would all be a big mess and too many feelings he didn't have the capacity to deal with. He didn't say anything to Varric, but he thought the old man would get it anyway.
It's not that Rook planned not to make it back. But. Well. Better to be practical about these things, and make sure the team would make it out the other end.
Rook saw it all balance on the edge of a knife, and made the call. He fell into the blight, lost to the Veilguard and failing his mission.
Rook wakes up.

Rook takes the fall and wakes up back in time, around the start of Inquisition. Lost, but determined to make things better this time. For other people.

Summary
Cassandra watches her, too shrewd. This – keeping her secret from spymasters and seekers and, ahem, “Fade experts” – is going to be exceedingly difficult. Perhaps the hardest thing Rowan has ever done. Harder, even than fighting gods.
“Do you know him?” Cassandra asks.
Rowan swallows hard. Shakes her head. “Never heard of him.”
Cassandra stares a beat too long before turning again. “Come. We are nearly there.”
And sure enough, when they crest the hill, there they are – the two most important people in Rook’s world.
When Rook discovers that time travel exists - and her friend Dorian helped pioneer it - she begs him for a favor: send her back to the ritual so she might save her mentor and friend, Varric, from Fen'Harel's knife. Dorian sends her back, all right - eleven years back, to the moment everything went to hell and the Herald of Andraste was born.

Summary
Slow burn Cullen/Lavellan with multiple 'subromances' in a world exploration fan novel.
"The sight of Cullen rooting around in their discarded clothing was amusing, but the smile on his face as he found what he was looking for lit the room better than any spell she could have cast. Ellana let the magic dissipate into the air as he crawled back onto the bed with something clutched in his hand.
“What are you up to?”
“Ellana, I would love to give Lara a little sibling. But first, I’d like you to marry me.” The words hung in the air, and even though they’d spoken of a long future together, raising a family, the question still caught her by surprise somehow. Cullen’s hand turned over, revealing the lovely little box he’d picked up with Lara, opening it. “Maker, I’ve tried to do this properly and I’ve planned this a thousand times but really… all I want is to ask you to please do me the honor of being my wife.”
She couldn’t speak and the silence seemed to press upon them both. Tears slipped from her eyes and her breathing came fast. Both of her hands on her face, looking at the outline of him in the moonlight. The little glint of moonlight off the ring. Too hard to make it out but it didn’t matter right now." -

Damma is the new Jarl of Falkreath and everyone knows that she's a puppet of the Empire, married to a bastard son of the Emperor's and installed to prevent her Stormcloak half-brothers from inheriting the Stag Throne. The Elder Council isn't counting on her husband being a righteous man or her realising what power lies in her grasp.
A doe steps warily among predators. But she is still a Jarl and a daughter of the north.

For Rook and Lucanis, the line between the Fade and Reality blurs, multiple powers vie for control over their souls and bodies. In finding each other, they may find the path to remaining themselves.Title from I Carrion (Hozier)

Enasal: joy in triumph over loss
Inquisitor Elera Lavellan finds herself at the end of the world. Again. Torn between duty, love and heartbreak, she stands tall once more in the face of adversity. Working with Varric’s chosen agent, Rook, against her former lover as she advises familiar friends and colleagues, including Commander Cullen, to defend Skyhold and the South in her absence, Elera does all she can to quiet the devouring storm within her.
The false gods she once worshipped threaten to destroy the world. The man she loves is trapped within the Fade, helping Rook as much as his own ends as he remains resolute in his goal to bring down the Veil. The whole of Thedas hangs in the balance once again. This time, Elera knows she may not come back from it. This time, she knows she may have to choose between her love and her duty.
What she does not know is that perhaps time has allowed her scars to heal more than she realizes. That perhaps her heart, that she believes gone with her vhenan, returned—only to be slowly given to another.
xxx
An alternate ending to Veilguard for Lavellan that was inspired by the different canon endings and a love for Cullavellan.

Summary
Rook, formerly and sometimes even now known as Zea Ingellvar, was a foundling and grew up in the Necropolis with friends both living and dead. Her middle fingers get a strenuous workout every time she’s forced to talk to Solas and she hates the thought of ever disappointing anyone.
Lucanis Dellamorte was betrayed, captured, and turned into an abomination. His body is out of the Ossuary, but Spite is still with him and he wonders if he’s actually free of the prison’s grip. He avoids sleep like it’s personally offended him and is an incredible cook.
Professor Emmrich Volkarin speaks with the dead almost more often than the living. He teaches, studies, and approaches every experience with curiosity and empathy. He has been to therapy and loves his skeleton son.
Julia brews poisons and perfumes for the Crows and the elite of Treviso. She stays out of sight for a reason and usually enjoys a quiet life. She spends more time with her “invisible” friends than breathing ones and will mouth off to just about anyone, given the opportunity.

Lots of spoilers for Lucanis’s and Emmrich’s quests.
There is NSFW smut and it is clearly labeled.

Summary
It is time to record the known history and adventures of the Khajiit known as The Last. Dragonborn. Not a stapping young Nord, not a magical Elf, not even a vicious orc.
The chosen was a mere Khajiit,
Someone who should not have been in Skyrim at all.
But it appears Akatosh was just as willing to make a story as he was to give us our saviourA re-telling of my first fanfics on this site of Sayori (pronounced sigh-or-ri") the Khajiit
Dovahkin. Having done first person stories, here is the full story of a reluctant Dragonborn.
The story contains mod's that I used when playing the game that shaped/inspired this story.

"Rook," he breathed out, barely concealing his surprise. "I—"
"Don't pull that shit on me," he snapped, and Solas was barely able to keep the amusement off his face. Had Rook been older, the ferocity of his words could have silenced a lesser man; but as he was, barely reaching Solas' chest, his bite lacked any teeth. He was a pup just learning to growl, and still had yet to learn his prey from his predators. "I'm going to kill you. I should have killed you when I had the chance."
"Not for a lack of tenacity," Solas began, unperturbed, "but I doubt the effectiveness of a butter knife in an assassination attempt, particularly when its wielder can barely reach my throat."
