She’ll never get used to the way her name rolls off his lips. He says it so often. It’s as if the sound of her name alone brings him a level of comfort he couldn’t find in anyone else. He didn’t have the words that she was always able to offer, or the overflowing confidence Barrett always oozed. He definitely didn't have the comforting aura Aerith carried with ease, either.
But oh, he had her name to utter with such reverence that one would think he spoke of a goddess. Like a prayer spoken in the dark when hope is thought to be lost, it’s as if her name felt like home.
Tifa doesn't even know how to begin processing that.
Or, Tifa struggles with her grief. Cloud does his best.
