sequel to Hand on my Heart. Against all odds, Scaramouche and Chouji formed something like a family. Scaramouche tries to use the gnosis before leaving Inazuma, with disastrous results. Badly wounded, he flees to Yashiori Island to hide, only to succumb to his injuries and be rescued by a precocious boy named Chouji. He is forced to rely on Chouji while he recovers, and begins to see far too much of himself in the boy. But Scaramouche knows better than to get attached to a human ever again. Doesn't he?
