Summary
Jon has just moved to London for his new job at the Magnus Institute and finds himself in need of a roommate to afford the rent. Meanwhile, Gerry just wants a place to crash, somewhere that offers a momentary respite from the ghost of his mother.
Moving in together was supposed to be nothing but practical, but they quickly realize the true potential of their living arrangement. They have the chance to defy the supernatural together, and more importantly, they find themselves with the opportunity to make a home. But Gerry is not telling the truth about his mother, and in the end, she might be the one monster they cannot outrun.

“You really like the sound of your own voice, don’t you?” Jon mutters.
Elias grins down at him, stroking his hair. Jon hates how much he likes the touch; how much some part of his heart still flutters with pleasure when Elias looks like that, lighter and younger and apparently thoroughly amused by Jon’s snark, the way so few people had ever been before him.
“The point is,” Elias murmurs fondly, “that eventually your assistants are going to come downstairs, and here you will be. You will not escape their gaze, nor their judgement, whatever it might be.”
(Set in S3. Elias is keen on making sure Jon is fully bonded to their Master before the Unknowing. His methods are, as usual, bad for Jon.)

“I can’t see anymore, Martin.”
Martin’s brow furrowed.
Jon’s tone was on the edge of hysteria as his eyelids finally lifted. His pupils were dilated almost to the point of engulfing the whole iris, both the former and the latter clouded over so that Jon’s eyes looked nearly white.
Jon laughed again, his voice breaking on a sob.
“I can’t see, Martin! I can’t see!”--
Martin arrives back at the safehouse earlier than intended to find Jon terrifyingly under the Eye's thrall. He couldn't have predicted the consequences of stopping Jon that deep into reading such a statement, and navigating his new blindness would be hard enough on its own, not even taking into account the guilt and the fog creeping in on each side. They'll be fine, right?

“It is about time for you to conceive an heir,” Peter elaborated, perhaps having picked up on Martin’s confusion, after all. It was all Martin could do not to spit out his mouthful of red with brilliant comedic timing, barely managing to gulp it down and cough into the handkerchief framed in delicate lace that was likely spun out of fairy silk, or whatever bullshit could be made up to excuse the price tags of the restaurant.
Despite his best attempt to keep it down, Martin still felt his mother’s burning glare on him. She’d taken on the life of a Lukas like a duck to water, unlike him, so he pointedly ignored it.
Peter was more forgiving, in that sense; such an affable man, Peter, up until the moment he’d chuck you into a hellscape of perpetual loneliness, that was.
Once he trusted he wouldn’t start coughing again, Martin forced himself to emerge from the handkerchief, unable to hold back his alarmed expression. “Is it time to what?”

Summary
Day five: Heist and Jealousy.
Things go relatively well so to speak, at least till lunch time where he is forced to go to the dining room and see all the people involved, most of them were talking to each other, laughing and playing nice. Peter for his part wanted to disappear and kill everyone in this room other than him and Simon who sat next to him acting as a buffer of sorts.
Usually that spot was reserved for Elias but well.
He wasn't here.
Or so he thought.
Because as it turns out, right in front of them, Elias and Maxwell sit together. Peter stares feeling like he is having a stroke, just in case he looks at Simon to check that he is not hallucinating this whole thing, but the old man seems just as perplexed at him at the two men seemingly coming in together.
He barely manages to open his mouth to ask before at the other end of the table they hear a glass being clinked to call their attention. Peter winces at the noise, in fact this whole thing was starting to make him ill. His family when there was a party, had to sit together, but mostly in silence. He can't imagine two days of this.
Still, he stares at Elias who stares at him back with a blank and harsh look.Series
