Summary
A feeble scholar and a destitute architect were simply not miscible, like oil to water. In reality, those words were only ever said by Al Haitham and Kaveh, because they both had a big brain, but a stupid mouth.
It took a despairing Akademiya, graduates and all, the Dendro Archon's blessing and one Lisa Minci. Add a dash of chaos and, maybe, just maybe, a wedding would actually come out of it.
a.k.a. Lisa barges into the Akademiya and finds that Kavetham would only ever marry for tax benefits (and love. That, too)

Summary
Cyno knocks on his door at an archon-forsaken 3 in the morning on a Tuesday.
"General Mahamatra. I hope you are not here to conduct an early morning raid." Al Haitham scowls as he slaps the side of his hearing aids, the green indicator light flickering from the impact.
"It's Kaveh."
"And? I'm hardly his keeper, General."
"He's drunk. At the tavern."
"Is he not always drunk at the tavern?"
"And are you not always the one who goes out to drag him home?"Al Haitham picks Kaveh up in the wee hours of the morning and witnesses some drunken shenanigans, with him as one of the unfortunate main characters.

Summary
Kaveh was not one to be jealous.
That was a lie.
Kaveh was not one to be ruffled over trivial matters.
That was also a lie.
It's honestly, so, so stupid. The ragtag ensemble that was the rescue team for their Archon was meeting up for a celebratory dinner for Cyno's reinstatement. And Kaveh, who had been away in the desert, was obviously not part of that team.
Yes, he knows it's just a meeting between friends. It wasn’t some big deal. But no matter how hard he tried, the ugly feeling of jealousy and possessiveness rose and rose and climbed up his throat to choke him with its dense presence.
He knew almost everyone there. He knew Nilou. He knew Cyno. He knew the Flame Mane through Dunyarzad. And none of them, absolutely none of them thought to tell him about the fucking coup in Sumeru City?
Kaveh has thoughts and none of them are good.

Summary
“Al Haitham." Kaveh tugs on their entwined hands. Al Haitham does not respond, even though his hearing aids are on. Ignoring Kaveh prompts the funniest reactions, after all. "Al Haitham. Al Haitham. Al Haitham."
"Yes, Kaveh?" Al Haitham finally relents, deciding that the way Kaveh puffed out his cheeks is not worth having him complain until his ears fall off. Or until his hearing aids spontaneously combust.
"Look at that stupid condom ad."
Al Haitham does not look. "Normally, it would take seven beers for you to ask, and in all places, the subway, Kaveh."
Kaveh scowls at him. "Bastard, I'm just telling you to look at this horrendously designed ad. It's disgusting."

Five times Kaveh complains and one time Al Haitham returns the favour.

Summary
The beautiful sky. The susurration of the river. The circle of trees surrounding a lake in the distance. Kaveh drank in the sights of what must be paradise.
But was paradise supposed to be so empty? There was only the ebb and flow of water, the faint rustling of leaves on the trees. Not another heartbeat, not another breath.
Kaveh should be long dead.
~
Al Haitham's scheme to overthrow the Sages fails, leading to Kaveh's imprisonment. One execution later, Al Haitham and Kaveh try to pry each other from the grasp of death.
Loosely inspired by one scene from tgcf. Extremely loosely.

Summary
Additional Maths. One of the two banes of Kaveh starting with the letter A, the other being Al Haitham. Watch him trip over every single question and every single graph, but at least Al Haitham… is falling face first, too!
Or, two people kissing and doing slightly worse than normal in maths

Summary
So overly emotional with all the flaws and none of the benefits. The empathy and kindness so readily preached of him, all passing whims of the wind.
Kind was something Kaveh had never been.
Perhaps that statement would elicit raised eyebrows and incredulous stares from most. Kaveh, the man who gullibly donated for a charitable cause. The empath who cried for every little soul that walked Teyvat.
People called him kind—foolish, gullible, but kind.
Kaveh was not kind.

Hell hath no fury like a trans man scorned.
A study on Kaveh and gender, kindness and grief- and how to let go.
