跳舞

跳舞粵拼tiu3 mou5 | 英文dance),做名詞嗰陣又叫舞蹈,係一類文化定義上係要跳舞嘅人用自己嘅身體(尤其係四肢)作出一連串有節奏郁動。喺絕大多數嘅現存舞種當中,跳舞用嘅節奏傳統上會係由音樂產生嘅[1]

啲人跳舞嘅目的可以有好多:跳舞嘅人好多時係表演者,當跳舞係種表演藝術,想用自己嘅身體郁動同音樂節奏之間嘅配合嚟娛樂觀眾同埋令觀眾覺得串舞有美感[2];不過另一方面,跳舞有陣時又會帶有藝術以外嘅文化意義,例如好多類型嘅草裙舞(Hula)喺古代嗰時係夏威夷等地嘅人嘅神聖舞-專門喺宗教場合嗰度跳、用嚟做拜神嘅作用嘅[3]

除咗文化同藝術上嘅作用之外,跳舞對健康體能都有一定嘅幫助:跳舞好多時都好要求體力,例如芭蕾舞當中嘅男舞蹈員就成日都需要做出「捧起自己舞伴」等講求肌肉力量嘅動作;事實係,醫學上嘅研究經已表明,好多類型嘅舞蹈都具有幫跳嘅人提升身體嘅平衡力同肌肉力量等嘅正面效果,所以到咗廿一世紀初,有唔少人都鍾意以跳舞嚟做嗜好[4][5]

舞蹈可以按好多準則分類,例如唔同舞種編舞、用到嘅舞步、歷史時期或者發源地等嘅特性都可以用嚟將舞蹈分類[6]。喺廿一世紀初嘅藝術界,其中一條最重要嘅分類準則係將舞種分做音樂廳舞蹈參與舞蹈兩大類,前者指專業嘅舞蹈員喺個舞台上面跳俾觀眾睇嘅舞,通常係為咗達到用藝術娛樂觀眾嘅效果,例子有芭蕾舞爵士舞等,而後者指俾一大班人喺聚會嗰陣一齊跳嘅舞,睇嘅人會有機會參與,例如華爾茲等嘅社交舞原意係為咗俾人喺聚會嗰時一齊享受嘅[註 1][7]
