I work in an office with a great mix of guys and gals. No one is saying anything, but yes, everyone is silently staring at my belly that pokes out from under my clothes. That’s how it looks in a meeting.

Got my blood test results today. The doctor assumed that my quick weight gain might be due to a hormonal imbalance and asked if I was overeating. I admitted I might be, just a little. I didn’t tell him that, every day, for almost a year already, I’d been pumping myself with heavy cream and sugar. He pointed out that my LDL level is dangerously high and wanted to prescribe statins. How serious is that? Can statins slow down my weight gain?
