     From 1 September 1796, her married name became Parkyns.1

     Elizabeth Anne James was born in 1766.2 She was the daughter of William James, 1st Bt. and Anne Goddard.1,2 She married Thomas Boothby Parkyns, 1st Baron Rancliffe, son of Sir Thomas Parkyns, 3rd Bt. and Jane Parkyns, on 24 December 1783.1,3 She died on 18 January 1797.1,2
     From 24 December 1783, her married name became Parkyns.1 After her marriage, Elizabeth Anne James was styled as Baroness Rancliffe on 1 October 1795.

     Jules Auguste Armand, Prince de Polignac was born on 14 May 1780 at Versailles, France.2 He married, firstly, Barbara Campbell, daughter of Duncan Campbell and Mary Campbell of Ormsary, on 6 July 1816 at London, England.2 He married, secondly, Hon. Anne Sarah Parkyns, daughter of Thomas Boothby Parkyns, 1st Baron Rancliffe and Elizabeth Anne James, on 3 June 1824 at London, England.3 He died on 2 March 1847 at age 66 at Paris, France.2
     He held the office of Minister to Charles X, King of France.1 He held the office of French Ambassador to the U.K. between 1823 and 1829.3 He held the office of Prime Minister of France between 8 August 1829 and 29 July 1830.3 His marriage to Hon. Anne Sarah Parkyns was annulled in 1832.3
