John Hampden1

     John Hampden was born circa 1656.2 He was the son of Richard Hampden and Letitia Paget.2 He married, firstly, Sarah Foley, daughter of Thomas Foley and Anne Browne.1 He married, secondly, Anne Cornwallis.2 He died on 12 December 1696, when he cut his throat with a razor.2
     He lived at Great Hampden, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Buckinghamshire in 1679.2
