     Elizabeth Dewar was the daughter of James Dewar, 3rd of Vogrie and Mary Cutler.¹ She died in November 1791, unmarried.¹

     David Erskine Dewar was born on 1 May 1796.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. David Dewar and Mary Cutler.² He died on 26 January 1821 at age 24, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland^G.¹ He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1819.¹

     Sir James Dewar was born circa 1797.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. David Dewar and Mary Cutler.² He married Clementine Wemyss, daughter of William Wemyss, in January 1826.¹ He died circa November 1830.¹ He was buried on 25 November 1830 at Bombay, India^G.¹
     He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1821 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He was a practising barrister in 1826 at Bombay, India^G.¹ He held the office of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Judicature of Bombay in 1829.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1829.¹ He lived at Cuttle Hill, Fife, Scotland^G.¹

     Clementine Wemyss was the daughter of William Wemyss.² She married Sir James Dewar, son of Maj.-Gen. David Dewar and Mary Cutler, in January 1826.¹ She died before 1834.¹
     From January 1826, her married name became Dewar.

     Reverend David Erskine Dewar was born on 3 October 1826.¹ He was the son of Sir James Dewar and Clementine Wemyss.² He married Elizabeth Ann Fane Parry, daughter of John Billingsley Parry, on 15 July 1852.¹ He died on 30 December 1906 at age 80.¹

     George Duncan Lockhart was born in 1821.¹ He was the son of Robert Lockhart of Castle Hill and Charlotte Simpson Mercer.¹ He married Elizabeth Amanda Thomas, daughter of Dr. unknown Thomas.¹

     Elizabeth Ann Fane Parry was the daughter of John Billingsley Parry.² She married Reverend David Erskine Dewar, son of Sir James Dewar and Clementine Wemyss, on 15 July 1852.¹ She died on 19 April 1881.¹
     From 15 July 1852, her married name became Dewar.

     Brig.-Gen. David Erskine Dewar was born on 25 September 1853.¹ He was the son of Reverend David Erskine Dewar and Elizabeth Ann Fane Parry.² He died on 7 September 1928 at age 74, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Oratory School, Woodcote, Edgbaston, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1872 in the Royal Artillery.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1874.¹ He gained the rank of Afghan War in 1880.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1883.¹ He was with the Zaila Field Force in 1884.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1891.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1900.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in 1904.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General.¹ He fought in the First World War, as Assistant Adjutant-General.¹

     Annie Clementina Dewar was born on 31 October 1855.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend David Erskine Dewar and Elizabeth Ann Fane Parry.² She married Dr. Matthew Everard Puakahakoililanimanuia Makalua, son of Manuia Makalua and Kaipoleimanu Kahoohanohano Makalua, on 27 August 1888.¹ She died on 6 November 1927 at age 72.¹
     From 27 August 1888, her married name became Makalua.
