John Bourke, 9th Earl of Clanricarde1

     John Bourke, 9th Earl of Clanricarde was born in 1642.1 He was the son of William Bourke, 7th Earl of Clanricarde and Lettice Shirley.1 He married Mary Talbot, daughter of James Talbot and Hon. Bridget Bermingham, in October 1684.2 He died on 17 October 1722.2 He died intestate and his estate was administered to his son, Hon. Thomas Bourke on 16 November 1734.2
     He was created 1st Baron Bourke of Bophin, co. Galway [Ireland] on 2 April 1689.1 He gained the rank of Colonel of Foot.1 He fought in the Battle of Aughrim on 12 July 1691, where he was taken prisoner.1
     He was attainted.1 He gained the rank of commander in the regiment of Infantry in the Irish Army of King James II.1 In 1702 he was acquited by an Act, and his titles and estates restored.1 He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Clanricarde [I., 1543] after November 1702.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baron of Dunkellin [I., 1543] after November 1702.1 He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Bourke of Clanmories, co. Mayo [I., 1629] after November 1702.1

Mary Talbot1

     Mary Talbot was the daughter of James Talbot and Hon. Bridget Bermingham.2 She married John Bourke, 9th Earl of Clanricarde, son of William Bourke, 7th Earl of Clanricarde and Lettice Shirley, in October 1684.2 She died on 27 June 1711.2 She was buried on 28 June 1711 at Meelick Abbey, County Galway, IrelandG.2
     From October 1684, her married name became Bourke.2 After her marriage, Mary Talbot was styled as Countess of Clanricarde.

James Talbot1

     James Talbot was the son of Sir Henry Talbot and Margaret Talbot.2 He married Hon. Bridget Bermingham, daughter of Francis Bermingham, 12th Lord Athenry.1 He died on 12 July 1691 at Aughrim, County Galway, Ireland, killed in action.3
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the King James II's Army.3 He lived at Mount Talbot, County Roscommon, IrelandG.1 He lived at Templeogue, County Dublin, IrelandG.4 He fought in the Battle of Aughrim on 12 July 1691.3

     Lettice Shirley was born circa 1617.1 She was the daughter of Sir Henry Shirley, 2nd Bt. and Lady Dorothy Devereux.1 She married William Bourke, 7th Earl of Clanricarde, son of Sir William Bourke and Joan O'Shaughnessy.1 She died circa 22 September 1655.2 She was buried on 25 September 1655.2
     Her married name became Bourke.1

     Sir Henry Shirley, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir George Shirley, 1st Bt. and Frances Berkeley.2 He married Lady Dorothy Devereux, daughter of Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex and Frances Walsingham, on 1 August 1616.1 He died on 8 February 1632/33.3
     He lived at Astwell, Hertfordshire, EnglandG. He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Shirley, of Staunton Harold [E., 1611] on 27 April 1622.3

Lady Dorothy Devereux1

     Lady Dorothy Devereux was the daughter of Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex and Frances Walsingham.1,2 She married, firstly, Sir Henry Shirley, 2nd Bt., son of Sir George Shirley, 1st Bt. and Frances Berkeley, on 1 August 1616.1 She married, secondly, William Stafford in 1634.1 She died on 30 March 1636.1
     From 1 August 1616, her married name became Shirley.1 From 1634, her married name became Stafford.1

     She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Kerry.1

Sir William Bourke1

     Sir William Bourke was the son of Ulick Bourke, 3rd Earl of Clanricarde and Honora Burke.1 He married Joan O'Shaughnessy, daughter of Sir Dermot O'Shaughnessy.1 He died on 2 February 1625/26.2
     He was also known as William de Burgh.1

     Joan O'Shaughnessy is the daughter of Sir Dermot O'Shaughnessy.1 She married, firstly, Sir William Bourke, son of Ulick Bourke, 3rd Earl of Clanricarde and Honora Burke.1 She married, secondly, Teige O'Brien, son of Conor O'Brien, 2nd Earl of Thomond and Una O'Brien, after 1625.2
     Her married name became Bourke.1 From after 1625, her married name became O'Brien.2

Mary Caroline Marsh1

     Mary Caroline Marsh was the daughter of Reverend William Marsh and Maria Tilson.1 She married Reverend Francis Chenevix Trench, son of Richard Trench and Melesina Chenevix, on 6 December 1837.1 She died on 4 March 1886.1
     From 6 December 1837, her married name became Trench. From 1873, her married name became Chenevix Trench.1
