     Sir Thomas Kerr of Ferniehirst was the son of Sir John Kerr of Ferniehirst and Catherine Kerr.2 He married by contract, firstly, Janet Kirkcaldy, daughter of Sir William Kirkcaldy, on 10 February 1561/62.2 He married, secondly, Janet Scott, daughter of Sir William Scott of Kirkurd and Buccleuch, younger, circa 1569.1
     He lived at Ferniehirst, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1

     Janet Scott was the daughter of Sir William Scott of Kirkurd and Buccleuch, younger.1 She married Sir Thomas Kerr of Ferniehirst, son of Sir John Kerr of Ferniehirst and Catherine Kerr, circa 1569.1
     Her married name became Kerr.

     Janet Kirkcaldy was the daughter of Sir William Kirkcaldy.1 A contract for the marriage of Janet Kirkcaldy and Sir Thomas Kerr of Ferniehirst was signed on 10 February 1561/62.1
     Her married name became Kerr.

     Sir John Kerr of Ferniehirst was the son of Sir Andrew Kerr of Ferniehirst and Janet Home.2 He married Catherine Kerr, daughter of Sir Andrew Kerr of Cessford and Agnes Crichton.2 He died in 1562.2
     He held the office of Warden of Middle March.2 He held the office of Heritable Baillie of Jedbergh.2 He lived at Ferniehirst, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2

     Sir Andrew Kerr of Ferniehirst was the son of Thomas Kerr, 1st of Ferniehirst and Margaret Ker.2 He married Janet Home, daughter of Patrick Home and Helen Shaw, before 6 November 1501.2 He died circa 4 October 1545.2
     He held the office of Baillie of Jedburgh.2 He held the office of Warden of the Middle Marches.2 On 17 January 1523/24 he had a Crown charter of the Barony of Oxnam.2 He lived at Ferniehirst, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1
