Sir James Sinclair of Mey, 5th Bt. was born on 26 April 1715.1 He was the son of Sir James Sinclair of Mey, 4th Bt. and Mary Sutherland.2 A contract for the marriage of Sir James Sinclair of Mey, 5th Bt. and Margaret Sinclair was signed on 27 November 1735.3 He died on 4 October 1760 at age 45.1
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Sinclair, of Canisbay, co. Caithness [N.S., 1631] on 26 March 1732.1

John Sinclair, 2nd of Barrock was the son of George Sinclair, 1st of Barrock and Anne Dunbar.1 He married by contract, firstly, Anne Sinclair, daughter of Robert Sinclair of Durran, on 25 July 1709.1 He married, secondly, Janet Dunbar, daughter of Sir James Dunbar of Hempriggs, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Dunbar, on 1 January 1738.2 A contract for the marriage of John Sinclair, 2nd of Barrock and Janet Dunbar was signed on 31 December 1737.1 He died in 1743.1

General Alexander Campbell of Barcaldine was born in 1729.2 He was the son of John Campbell, 5th of Barcaldine and Margaret Jean Campbell.2 He married Helen Sinclair, daughter of George Sinclair of Ulbster and Janet Sutherland, on 1 August 1765.2 He died on 22 April 1779.2
