[edit]

There are two sets of ids used by Riksantikvaren (w:en:Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage). One set is the object ids and one set is the area ids. The area ids are called "Lokalitets ID" in Norwegian.[1] The area can hold several objects, and in some cases as satellites outside the core area. In some cases the area is protected due to some historical object, and Wikipedia has later reassigned the id to some other object that are now present on the same location. This has happen to a lot of places for previous churches, what is called a kirkested (church place). The id for those places are then listed in the article for the present church building, later propagated here, and now the building has the id for the place. One example is w:no:Bagn kirke, where the item Bagn Church (Q11959986) has been given the area id (locality id).[2] Instead we should have a place with an area id, and that place should have a reference to a building at that location with an object id, or we should clearly state that the id is for the place and not for the object. That is it is a member of objects on that location.

The simplest update would be to say that it represents a Kulturminne site identifier and not a Kulturminne identifier. Likewise change the name of the property to Kulturminne site identifier. The reference to the template parameter needs an update on Wikipedia to be fixed, as it is now it is plainly wrong.

We can let the ids stay in the items for now, but they should really be cleaned up and be referenced from proper items defined as heritage sites. Verey few such items are defined in Wikipedia, we must probably create them from scratch in Wikidata.

  • Item: items with this property should also have heritage status (P1435) (This is a location, and the location does not necessarily have a heritage status even if the objects at the location have one)
  • Single value: this property generally contains a single value (Usually single valued, but an object can have been moved to an other farm or to a museum)
  • Unique value: this property likely contains a unique value (It is quite common to have several objects at the same location, see previous example)
  • Item: items with this property should also have coordinate location (Buildings can be in store for preservation and later erection at a new spot)

I think the id was defined as it is now as a simplification, and it wasn't observed that this isn't an unique identifier for the entities where it is added. Jeblad (talk) 20:59, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
