Formater url
[edit]@Nikki: Looks like a formatter url would be http://www.culturalheritage.gov.mt/filebank/inventory/$1.pdf
. The Property proposal mentions that these urls are not predictable though so I'm wondering if there are any more details around this? /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 15:54, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
- @André Costa (WMSE): Have you looked at the website? You can find other URLs by looking at the different batches of IDs, e.g. the ones starting at 00200 are different. The last batch has no URLs at all. I'm not sure what the best option would be... perhaps described at URL (P973) as a qualifier? - Nikki (talk) 16:30, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
- Also some URLs use 5 digits, others use 4 digits. The documents for some IDs were updated and the new versions have new URLs (e.g. [1] and [2]). [3] has "v2" in the URL. Since there can be multiple URLs, I'm not sure if qualifiers would be the best idea after all, since we can't add extra information (like the publication date) to qualifiers. - Nikki (talk) 17:32, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'd just looked at the links up to about 170. Using described at URL (P973) as a qualifier sounds like a good compromise in a situation where the urls cannot be automatically generated. (For background I'm asking in relation to the migration of the lists on de.wikipeidia to Wikidata.) /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 07:47, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- @André Costa (WMSE): What are you planning to migrate? The information from de:Liste der Kulturgüter von Malta should already be in Wikidata and I'm not aware of any other lists on dewiki. - Nikki (talk) 09:50, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Nikki: That we were not aware of and had missed during the inventory of Wikidata:WikiProject WLM/Status. We'll take a look at what we've matched to see if there is anything left to import. Do you have the explanation for why the german list is so much smaller (116 entries) than the dataset on Wikidata? Are only certain classes/grades included? /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 10:13, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- @André Costa (WMSE): The German list is just old, it was created in 2012 and hasn't really been updated since (other than to add images). Most of the entries in NICPMI were added after that. - Nikki (talk) 10:39, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification =) /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 13:43, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
