Pennsylvania Lottery Introduces EZ eInstants with IWG

The Pennsylvania Lottery has teamed up with Instant Win Gaming (IWG) to introduce a novel category of eInstant games known as EZ eInstants.

This innovative category, part of IWG’s eFastPlay, is designed to enhance the Lottery’s online offerings by providing more straightforward and engaging instant play experiences. The initial rollout includes three games: Prospector’s Gold Rush, Firework Fortune Frenzy, and Treasure Tomb, with additional games planned for release shortly. These games are seamlessly integrated through IWG’s InstantRGS (remote game server), eliminating the need for extra development support from the iLottery platform provider.

Simplified Gameplay with Linked Jackpots

IWG has incorporated a linked jackpot feature powered by their InstantJackpots technology across all EZ eInstants games. This feature enables players to compete for larger, cumulative prizes, adding excitement to the gameplay.

Drew Svitko, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Lottery, said, “We’re very excited for our new EZ eInstant category to go live. These games, provided by IWG, will be a great addition to our existing portfolio, offering up new experiences that cast a wider net of gameplay appeal and in turn, create incremental revenues for older Pennsylvanians. We have several EZ eInstant games in our future release plans and we cannot wait to see how players respond to this new category.”

Expanding Player Engagement

Rhydian Fisher, CEO of IWG, also shared his excitement about the launch: “Kudos to the team at Pennsylvania Lottery for launching the first range of EZ eInstants. This new category launch is very exciting and frankly, has not happened too many times in the iLottery industry. As iLottery programs mature, we feel it is critical as a strategic content supplier to offer a variety of game play experiences. These EZ eInstants will cater to a specific group of Lottery players, providing the Pennsylvania Lottery with an opportunity to engage with new players for their iLottery program.”

In February 2024, IWG partnered with Allwyn, a multinational lottery operator, to enhance Allwyn’s gaming portfolio. This partnership involves Allwyn acquiring a 70% stake in IWG, with the deal expected to close in the second half of 2024. Additionally, in October 2023, IWG collaborated with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) to launch the Set for Life game on PlayNow.com, further expanding its presence in the North American market.

The introduction of EZ eInstants is seen as a significant step forward for the Pennsylvania Lottery, providing a more accessible and enjoyable gaming experience for its players. The collaboration with IWG underscores the Lottery’s commitment to innovation and player engagement, aiming to attract a broader audience while maintaining the excitement and appeal of instant win games.
