Fast-growing European game suppliers, UK-based Gamevy and Berlin software studio Gluck Games have successfully merged to form a single corporate body – Glück Group. The deal comes approximately one year after both entities announced a strategic partnership and full integration of unparalleled instant-win portfolios.

As for the roles within the newly formed legal entity, Paul Dolman-Darrall, founder of the London-based studio will become chief executive officer, while Robert Lenzhofer, managing director at the German counterpart will retain his title, focusing primarily on products and income.

Deal Achieved Months After Informal Partnership

The group’s senior management team will also be complemented by co-founders, Helen Walton and Dan Rough, supplemented by Arvind Upadhyay and Rafael Razim. According to the agreement, that was signed on Friday, October 19th, Walton is to retain her position as chief commercial officer, while product development and operators will be governed by Rough. His area will include a collection of over 140 offerings such as lotteries, scratch cards, bingo, keno, skill games and instants.

Lenzhofer commented:

“The merger of the two entities has already been executed on many operational levels and it’s a great match – on a people-level, on a product-level, on an office-geography-level and even on a customer-level the two companies almost fully complement each other.”

Focused On Entertainment And Broader Demographic

By expanding their portfolios to state lotteries such as Norsk Tipping, Lottmatica or The Health Lottery, both companies are expecting an increased demand in the coming months, including new partnerships and accompanying deals. Likewise, the two award-winning companies were established in 2015, allowing them to receive huge investments from major operators and focus on creating a suite of products that is appealing to a broader audience.

Generally speaking, Glück and Gamevy are concentrated on real money games, and both groups currently run separate back-office systems that are linked by APIs. The trade will continue separately until the merger is complete, including all accessory regulation work.

Dolman-Darrall also commented on the deal, saying that software studios will continue to grow rapidly over the next few years. He also commented:

“We’ve been close colleagues and joint partners for what feels like a very long time. We know that we have a uniquely talented bunch of designers, developers and marketeers and we believe that good as the success we have seen separately has been, together we will achieve even more. It gives us the ability to innovate more in our product development, serve our existing customers better and reach a whole range of new customers as well.”
