investment, aided by information technology.

environment, culture, political systems,
economic development and prosperity, and
on physical well- being of people in societies

• In general, globalization decreases the cost of
manufacturing.
• This means that companies can offer goods at
a lower price to consumers. The average cost
of goods is a key aspect that contributes to
increases in the standard of living. Consumers
also have access to a winder variety of goods.

• The benefits of Globalization for counties
include foreign direct investment and
technological innovation. For companies,
globalization allows for more efficient operations
through economies of scale. The downsides of
globalization include potential issues with
interdependence and loss of sovereignty.

significant human changes. The movements of
people from rural to urban areas has
accelerated, and the growth of cities in the
developing world especially is linked to
substandard living for many. Family disruption
and social and domestic violence are increasing.

• The mixing of people and culture from all
over the world enables the sharing of ideas
and lifestyle, creating vibrant cultural
diversity. People can take holidays in far off
locations. Consumers enjoy a greater choice
of goods and services at cheaper prices.
• On the other hand, there have been
negative impacts of globalization, such
as increased global inequality,
increased corruption, loss of jobs and
environmental degradation.

• The role of political globalization on this point is
forcing government to adopt global institutions.
It increases the number of international
organization in which a country is a member.
• This makes government s more accountable in
the global area and forcing them to pay
attention to protect human rights.

• Globalization also creates a sense of
interdependence among nations, which could
create an imbalance of power among nations
of different economic strengths. The role of
the nation- state in a global world is largely a
regulatory one as the chief factors in global
interdependence.
