Climate
Change
What is Climate
Change?
Climate Change
-is a long-term change in
the average weather patterns
that have come to define
Earth's local, regional and
global climates.
United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change
- as a direct or indirect
results of human activity,
altering the composition of the
global atmosphere.
Causes of Climate
Change
-is a phenomenon
resulting from the pollution
that humans continuously
produce.
1. Human activity
- Pollution caused by human
activities, such as emissions from
automobiles and factories, produces
greenhouse gases such as carbon
dioxide, absorbs infrared lights from
the atmosphere that contributes to
warming.
2. Gases
- Carbon dioxide is primary producers.
Through the burning of fossil pillars, solid
waste and food products. Deforestation and
soil degradation also contributed to the
release of carbon dioxide to the
atmosphere.
3. Pollution
- It is evident that human population is
growing export nationally as the increases
more each year, caused by higher growth
rate superseding mortality.
Effect of climate
change.
Rising water level and
flooding
- Warmer and
resulting from the heating
of the Earth’s atmosphere
is melting ties in the Arctic,
as there is an increased
aridity in Arizona.
The greenhouse effect
- This effect is the cycle
by which carbon dioxide
methane and other gases
Became trapped in the
atmosphere and results in the
warming of the planet.
Ecological Issues
- This effect is the cycle
by which carbon dioxide
methane and other gases
Became trapped in the
atmosphere and results in the
warming of the planet.
Extreme weather condition.
- Extreme weather
conditions are on the rise.
Intense rainfalls and typhoons
such as those that affected the
Philippines are extremely
severe, causing much
devastation on life and
properties.
Desertification
- It’s at the reached empathy
charm house rising. The 2.0
degree Fahrenheit, or 1.1
degrees Celsius, since the 19th
century, driven by increased
carbon dioxide emission into the
atmosphere.
Vegetation.
- Climate change gradually
affect the type distribution and
coverage of vegetation. It may
result to plan worth earlier
flowering and a distorted protein
time.
Climate Change

Earth's local, regional and
global climates.
What is being done
about climate change?
- The effect of
climate change are
clearly fell around the
planet Inability.
We Can Help Solve Climate
Change
-To initiate action plans to mitigate its
impact will possibly resolve the
devastating and catastrophic events which
will definitely lead to the loss of millions
of lives in the properties lost.
- An essential international agreement is
initiated to curb the realities of dangers
posed by the climate change.
1. Change in government policies
- Government agencies from every
nation begin to prioritize the preservation of
the environment through the adoption of the
policies that will push for its promotion over
business environmental values should be
the basis for decision making.
2. Use a Renewable Energy
- Burning is one major cause of climate
change. The move to use renewable energy
resulted to the development of alternative
ways to produce energy such as solar
power. China and India’s governments are
investing in solar power, which is directing
the country away from a fossil fuel based
economy.
3. New Agricultural Practices
- The intergovernmental panel on
climate change revealed that agriculture is
responsible for over a quarter of the total
global greenhouse gasses emission. It is
realized that innovations that will be adopted
in agricultural practices and technologies
can play a vital role in the mitigation of the
impact of climate change.
Here are Simple Things We Can Do to
Help Protect the Earth according to the
National Ocean Service of the US
National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration:
1. Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle + Refuse.
• Reduce – if possible, we must stop buying
for items with so much plastic packing.
• Reuse – cut down on what we throw away,
we might probably be able to still use it.
• Recycle – plastics can also serve as nursery
pots rather than just throwing it and adding
piles for our community landfill space.
2. Volunteer.
• We can spare our time to volunteer for
coastal clean-up and other clean-ups in
our respective community. We also all can
volunteer to get involved in protecting our
watershed by tree planting.
3. Educate.
• When we further our own education, we
can help others understand the
importance and value of our natural
resources. We also can attend symposia
and information drives on environmental
protection.
4. Conserve water.
The less water we use, the less runoff and
wastewater that would eventually end up in
the ocean. Waters from doing laundry can
also be used in cleaning our comfort rooms
than just throwing it.
5. Choose sustainable.
• Learn how to make smart food choices.
Eating leafy vegetables are far better than
meat. Why? We will just perhaps hurt
horse radish (malunggay) tree for a plain
native soup but we have to kill a chicken in
order to have a fried chicken for breakfast.
6. Shop wisely.
• Buy less plastic and bring a reusable
shopping bag. Choose to buy items
which uses less plastic.
7. Use long-lasting light bulbs.
• Energy efficient light bulbs reduce
greenhouse gas emissions. Stop using
the old light bulbs for it costly on electrical
consumption. Rather use LED bulbs. Also
flip the light switch off when you leave the
room!
8. Plant trees
• Trees provide food and oxygen. They help
save energy, clean the air, and help
combat climate change. During high noon,
many would want to stay under the shade
of a tree, but nobody cares to plant a tree.
9. Don't send chemicals into our
waterways.
• Choose non-toxic chemicals in the home
and office. Throw waste properly. Battery
acids should be thrown anywhere.
10. Bike more.
Drive less. Pollution comes in the moment
we start the engine of our motorcycles and
automobiles. Biking or walking helps the
environment and it even makes us healthier.
Learning Activity: Absolutely, We Can!
DIRECTIONS: Using the tree diagram
below, other than the one listed above, list
six things we can do at home in order to
help save mother earth and lessened the
effects of climate change.
