PERSON WITH
DISABILITY
 are those who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual or
sensory impairments which in interaction with various
barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in
society on an equal basis with others.
DISABILITY
 disability is any continuing condition that restricts everyday
activities. Disabilities can affect a person's capacity to
communicate, interact with others, learn and get about
independently.
 Disability is usually permanent but may be episodic.
The main categories of
disability are
1. Physical, sensory, psychiatric, neurological,

have multiple disabilities.

known and cited as the "Magna Carta for Disabled
Persons."
RA 10524 – An Act Expanding The Positions Reserved
For Persons With Disability, Amending For The
Purpose Republic Act No. 7277, As Amended,
Otherwise Known As The Magna Carta For Persons
With Disability. This act ensures that a qualified
employee with disability shall have the same terms
and conditions of employment and the same
compensation, privileges, benefits, fringe benefits,
incentives or allowances as a qualified able-bodied
person.
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10070 - an act establishing an
institutional mechanism to ensure the
implementation of programs and services for persons
with disabilities in every province, city and
municipality, amending republic act no. 7277,
otherwise known as the "magna carta for disabled
persons", as amended, and for other purposes
