SALIENT CHANGES
1. The pillar
“STAKEHOLDER
SUPPORT” beside the
strategy map was
revised to read
“STAKEHOLDER
COLLABORATION” to
reflect the strengthening
partnership of the PNP
with the community that
is based on mutual trust
and respect.

2. A second pillar was


added to the strategy
map, “USAGE OF ICT”,
which is reflective of the
digital transformation
efforts of the PNP
3. The objective “Improve
Community Safety
Awareness through
Community Oriented and
Human Rights-Based
Policing” was refined to
read “IMPROVE HUMAN
RIGHTS-BASED,
COMMUNITY AND
SERVICE-ORIENTED
POLICING” that is
indicative of the PNP’s
continuing commitment
to uphold human rights
and, its role in
implementing the CSOP
as per guidance of the
NAPOLCOM.
4. The new objective
“ENSURE
SUPPORT TO
PUBLIC SAFETY
AND INTERNAL
SECURITY” was
added to place
emphasis on the
PNP’s counter-
insurgency/counter
-terrorism function,
which was not
highlighted in the
previous strategy
map and scorecard.
5. The objective
“RECRUIT QUALITY
APPLICANTS” was
added in the
Learning and
Growth perspective,
which is reflective of
the PNP’s efforts to
level-up its
recruitment
standards. It is
worth noting this
new objective was
also one of the
outputs of Strategy
Refresh conducted
in 2015.
