eNodeB and Cell ID Planning
Notes :
- LTE Cell ID includes 20 bit ENodeB ID and 8 bit cell ID - If there is 2 NE in one location, the other NE will have to
- ENodeB ID range : -1….1048575 use the DATI II ID for spare.
- Each ENodeB should have a unique ENodeB ID Example :
- If there is more than one ENodeB in one site location, use a different site Site ID : JKS123
ID number for each ENodeB NE ID : JKS123MT & JKS123IT
- Cell ID range : 0….255 EnodeID : - JKS123MT : 133123
- EnodeB cell ID : MCC – MNC – ENodeB ID – Cell ID - JKS123IT : 612123

In case there are UMPT boards in both main & secondary BBU,
UMPT in main BBU provide co-transmission port
Use UCIU port M0 to connect to UMPT CI Port
If have CPRI in WBBP for 3G, move the CPRI and make
CPRI cascade with 3G WRFU or 3G RRU

Description
• If a TRX/cell is not accessed by UEs for 4 hours, it is a sleeping TRX/cell. With the Sleeping Cell Detection and Recovery
feature, the BTS/NodeB provided by Huawei can automatically detect sleeping cells and report alarms then do recover by
automatically reset cell.
Benefit
• To Improve Network Reliability
• To Improve Operation & Maintenance Efficiency
