It is September.

Children go back to school today.


They are very happy and excited!
Hurry up! We need to
catch the school bus!
We don’t want to be
late for school!
The children arrive at school.
They are excited to meet their friends.

“Hey, Laura!”
“Hi, Josh! How was your summer holiday?”
“It was great! I went to the seaside with my family. It was
very fun! What about you?”
“Oh, my parents got me a new dog for my birthday! His
name is Cupcake, because he’s small and sweet.”
“That’s adorable, Josh! I can’t wait to meet him!”
The students have a new classroom this year. blackboard

They are in the second grade.

“Dan, what do you think about our new classroom?”


“I like it a lot, Ollie! Do you want to be my desk mate?”
“Sure! Let’s sit at the first desk on the left.”

She is very nice, and all the students love her.

“My favourite season is autumn, Sarah. I like it
because it is colourful and magical.”

“You have beautiful handwriting, Mrs. Norris.”, says


Timothy.
“Thank you, Timothy.”

“Let’s work together on a project about autumn! Who


wants to draw the trees?”, asks Mrs. Norris.
“Me! Me!”, says Rita.
“Great! Ginny and William, you colour the apples and
the grapes. Luke, Fred, Polly and Daniela, you write
the text.”
“Yay! This is the best project ever!”, says Ginny.
TRRRRRRRRR!!!
The bell is ringing.
It is the break!
Yuppie!
Let’s all go play outside!

The project about autumn is ready.


“Wow! It is so cool! Let’s put it on the wall.”, says Timothy.
The students are playing in the schoolyard.
Some children are playing basketball, drawing or
jumping, and other children are talking, singing,
playing games or playing in the sand.
The lessons are over. It is time to go home now.

“Goodbye, children! Don’t forget to do your homework!”


“Goodbye, Mr. Jackson! Have a good afternoon!”

“Laura, do you want to come to my house and meet my dog


Cupcake?”
“YES!!! Let’s go now!!!”

“Bye, Nick! Bye, Diane! See you tomorrow!”


“Bye-bye, Carlo! Talk to you later!”
