 Definitions

• Garment categories is referring to the type of products

that are carried in each store.

• Buyer Group is the term used to define a certain

category name of products. For example: Jersey,
Woven Top, Accessories, Shoes etc..

• Classman(Classification) is a Buyer Group sub-

category.
For example: Long Sleeved Blouse, Thin Trousers,
Checked Woven Shirt etc.
 Garment Categories
 are used to categorize products into groups and sub-groups.

 are required for sales reporting, discounts assignment, and feedbacks.

 offers more specific, in-depth results in our reports.

For example, with a year of sales we

may see how well products categorized
as “T-shirts” are selling.

 Garment Categories

Jersey Category – includes products of knitted clothing,

traditionally made of cotton or viscose. It is usually close-
fitting and machine knitted.
 Example: T-shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts, trousers, basic
body…

Tricot Category- includes twilled clothing fabric

of wool and cotton with fine texture.
 Example: all type of sweaters: thin/ thick/ basic
pullovers, cardigans, poncho, vests…
 Garment Categories
Woven Top/Bottom Category- includes items formed by 
weaving, which means that this material is thinner as a rule and is
not prone to raveling in handling.
Garments made by this method can be embellished by any number
of add ons such as buttons, woven in patterns, or different types of
lace and contrasting materials sewn to the fabric.

 Example: cotton and viscose shirts, Collection blouses…/ all type

of pants, except sport pants and leggings.

Skirt- Dress Category- includes all type of

skirts/dresses garments for women and girls
 Example: long, short, 3/4, printed, plain, checkered etc

Denim Category- includes all type of garments produced of

sturdy cotton warp-faced twill textile in which the weft passes
under two or more warp threads.
 Example: denim pants/ skirts/ jackets/ shorts/ overalls etc.

Outerwear- includes all the garments worn outdoors.

 Example: coat, spring/autumn vest, jacket, puffer,
trenchcoat, raincoat etc

Underwear/ Pyjamas Category- includes all the garments

designed to be worn next to the skin, while sleeping or under
 other clothing.
 Example: pyjamas, panties, tank tops, nightgown etc

Swimwear Category – includes all the products

designed to be worn in water-based activities or water
sports, such as swimming or sun-orientated
 Example: swimsuit, summer hats, towels, flip flops
etc.

in order to make it more useful, versatile, or
attractive.
Example: bags, wallets, scarves, belts etc.

Shoes Category– includes all the products

defined as a durable covering for the human foot,
made of leather or similar material with a rigid sole
and heel, usually extending till or above the ankle.
 Example: snickers, boots, high heels, sandals
etc.
