● Laguna covers a total area of 1,917.85 km2 (740.49 sq mi)
occupying the north‑central section of the CALABARZON
region in Luzon.
● The province of Laguna was named after Laguna de Bay, the
body of water that forms the province’s northern boundary . It
is situated approximately 30kms. south of Manila so that it
takes about one and a half to two hours to drive from Manila.
It is one of the 11 provinces of Region IV and is bounded on
the north by the province of Rizal, on the east by Quezon, on
the west by Cavite, and on the south by Batangas. Laguna is
composed of 29 municipalities and the city of San Pablo. Its
provincial capital is the municipality o f Sta. Cruz
