Name: Belfast transport hub
Location: Belfast
Description:
The Belfast Transport Hub is a key element in the ongoing
regeneration of the city. Due to the success of public transport in
Northern Ireland over the past few decades, the current bus and rail
stations have reached capacity. In addition, further growth is
predicted of between 50-130% by 2030, prompting the need to
double the current transport facilities on the site.
Following extensive consultations with the client, it is proposed that
the fully integrated transport hub will include 26 bus stands, including
three alighting stands, and eight rail platforms. The project also
includes a masterplan of the 10 ha site; the proposed development
would provide approximately 150,000sqm of mixed use
