Azimuth Guidelines for fourth sector
The loaded sector of 2300 band to be split into two sectors
The two new sectors with 33° Antenna each (for 2300 band) to be installed at +/- 30°
of the existing orientation of the loaded sector.
Table below shows three cases as examples –
• Case 1 – Cell A (at 0°) to be split into two sectors
• Case 2 – Cell B (at 120°) to be split into two sectors
• Case 3 - Cell C (at 240°) to be split into two sectors

Case 2 Cell B 0° 120° 240° 150° 90°
Case 3 Cell C 0° 120° 240° 270° 210°

the existing orientation – thus for example if the existing orientation is 50°, th

Angular Separation for fourth sector
Angular separation between the new sectors and existing adjacent sector
• Recommended separation is 90° (to achieve desired KPIs)
• Minimum angular separation is 80° (with 10% overlap & with reduction in KPIs).

In case the separation is less than 80°, discussion to be done with JIO Team for the fo
llowing points -
• the existing sectors may be moved further to achieve this separation of 80°
• If existing sectors cannot be moved further to achieve the minimum angular separ
ation, the antenna for that sector to be replaced to 33° beam width. In this case a
fter antenna replacement, the minimum angular separation can be 60°
• Consult HQ RF Team for further guidance

Tilt Guidelines for fourth sector
The new 33° antenna have a gain of 20 dBi and support electrical tilt of 0 to 6°
The new antenna would have 3dB attenuation per port from LSMR
The tilt for the two new sectors using 33° antenna would be same as existing sector
being replaced : Tilt for New Sectors = Existing Tilt
Maximum Electrical Tilt supported by the new antenna is 6°. In case existing tilt is m
ore than 6°, then additional tilt to be achieved by adding Mechanical Tilt.
Examples
• Existing tilt is 4° (Electrical) . Then New Tilt = 4°(Electrical)
• Existing tilt is 6° (Electrical). Then New Tilt = 6°(Electrical)
• Existing tilt is 8° (Electrical). Then New Tilt = 6°(Electrical) + 2° (Mechanical)
Electrical Tilt to be provided by setting the knob or scale as shown below

Attenuation Guidelines for fourth sector
Maximum EiRP permitted is 63 dBi for 2300 band
Attenuation of 3 dB to be provided from LSMR for each port
Attenuation Settings in LSMR for each antenna port = 50,20 as shown below

Sample - TX Attenuation of 3 dB in LSMR
