    Introduction

    In recent year , burning of fossil fuels


    becomes the big problem in the world,
    we should use the renewable energy to
    replace them, lets see the details of
    non-renewable and renewable energy.

    Non-renewable resource is a resource


    that does not renew or cannot be replaced.
    The original organic material, with the aid
    of heat and pressure, becomes a fuel such
    as oil or gas. Fossil fuels such as coal , and
    natural gas also is non-renewable resources.

    Millions of years ago, dead sea organisms, plants and


    animals settled on the ocean floor and in the porous rocks.
    With time, sand, sediments settled on the organic matter,
    trapping its' energy within the porous rocks. That formed
    pockets of coal, oil and natural gas.
    Earth movements and rock shifts creates spaces that force
    to collect these energy types into well-defined areas. With
    the help of technology, engineers are able to drill down into
    the sea bed to tap the stored energy, which we commonly
    know as crude oil.

    The good thing about fossil fuels is:


    Unlike many renewable sources of energy, fossil fuels are relatively
    less expensive to produce. This is probably why it is in higher
    demand as it tend to cost less.
    The bad thing about fossil fuels is:
    Fossil fuels are made up mainly of carbon. When they are burned
    (used) they produce a lot of carbon compounds (carbon dioxide and
    other greenhouse gases) that hurt the environment in many ways.

    Renewable energy

    Renewable energy is generally defined as


    energy that comes from resources which are
    naturally replenished on a human timescale
    such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and
    geothermal heat.

    Advantage :
    Does not depend on costs of uranium, oil,

    Disadvantage :

    Tidal energy

    It is a form of hydropower
    that converts the energy of
    tides into useful forms of
    power - mainly electricity.

    There is no effect on environment.
    Disadvantage :
    Expensive to build and few areas of the
    world are suitable.

    Wind energy

    Generators
    are driven by
    the turbines
    and produce
    electricity.

    Advantages :

    1. Wind energy is friendly to the surrounding


    environment, as no fossil fuels are burnt to
    generate electricity from wind energy.

    2. Newer technologies are making the extraction


    of wind energy much more efficient. The wind
    is free, and we are able to cash in on this free
    source of energy.

    Wind energy

    Disadvantages :
    Wind power is down to the winds unreliability
    factor. In many areas, the winds strength is too
    low to support a wind turbine or wind farm, and
    this is where the use of solar power or geothermal
    power could be great alternatives.

    So there we have the main advantages


    and disadvantages of wind power on
    the surrounding environment, and the
    general reliability of wind turbines.

    Conclusion

    Burning fossil fuels causes pollution.


    Many people think that we should be
    less wasteful with energy. There are
    many methods to reduce energy, such
    as using public transport, manufacturing
    goods that last longer, recycling more
    waste materials and so on.

    IMPRESSION

    After finishing this project, we know


    more information about two kinds of
    energy, renewable and non-renewable
    energy and we think we have to save
    our energy from now. Its because some
    energies are expensive to extract and
    some are limited.
