REACTION PAPER

‘Upuan’ by Gloc-9

Having money does not mean you are rich inside and out. What is important is that
you share what you have and not keeping them only for yourself. There are people who are
successful, rich, and at the same time willing to help people who are in need. But we cannot
deny that there are people who are also rich and successful but are selfish. Poverty here in
the Philippines has been an issue since a long time ago. There are many people who really
need help from people who are willing to give not from people who will just help to show
off.

This song makes us think that those people who are living in luxury should share
some of their money or help those people who are really in need. The song is for those
people who are selfish. I really like the song especially because of the content of the lyrics.
The lyrics are so realistic and many people can relate to this. I really want people to realize
something if they hear and analyse the lyrics of the song. One line of the song says that
people who have money are making a blind eye and so even if they have plenty of money
no doctor can make their eyes clear. I really like this line so much because it says a lot of
things. I think this song has been popular because of the tone and lyrics of the song. The
message of the lyrics it wants to convey. I want those people who have this and that to hear
and listen carefully to this song because in this way, they can realize what they should have
a long time ago. I really want to compliment Gloc-9, who wrote the lyrics and makes this
song popular. I can say that he is such a talented person who wrote and sing his song.

I hope this can be a basis for those who are in the “upuan” or literally those who are
in the politics. I hope the message of the song can be delivered to them and let them hear
what they should have. Because there are many people especially here in the Philippines
who really are in need and waiting for someone to help them and let them stand up and get
out in an exhausting and hard life. So please to those people who are in the “upuan”, can
you please stand up and look at the situation here right now?.
