1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 PURPOSE OF THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN
The Quality Management Plan documents the necessary information required to
effectively manage Lock N’ Load Plug Remover and Two-Way Punch quality from
project planning to delivery. It defines a project’s quality policies, procedures, criteria
for and areas of application, and roles, responsibilities and authorities.
The Quality Management Plan is created during the Planning Phase of the project
and is considered a component of the Project Management Plan. Its intended
audience is the project manager, project team, project sponsor and any senior
leaders at Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana whose support is needed to
carry out the plan.
chart and to ensure the team maintains the critical pathway. Construction details, test plans,
budget analysis, and test results are all described in the construction design document. The
acceptance criteria, which satisfies our merit and feasibility criteria, for the final products
are described in the design specifications of the construction design document.
3.1.1 Define Project Quality
The product should be able to be used by all employees at Goodwill of Central and Southern
Indiana. The products should be made of durable materials to withstand the wear of long
term use. The goal of the project is to increase the productivity of the plug removal process
at Goodwill for the eh-1004 waffle mattress.
3.1.2 Measure Project Quality
Product quality will be measured through test plans. These tests include durability, the force
required to complete the process, and the time it takes to complete the process. The results
of these tests will be archived in the construction design document.
3.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE
Through the test plans, we will ensure that the results meet the design specifications of the
Lock N’ Load Plug Remover and Two-Way Punch. These results archived in the
construction design document.
3.2.1 Analyze Project Quality
Results from product testing will be used to determine if the product meets the requirements
established through the design specifications. The analyzed results of the product testing will
be documented in the construction design document.
3.2.2 Improve Project Quality
Improvements have been made to the original product design as needed. These have included
bracing the underside of the table top to prevent sagging, and the addition of metal pieces to
the surfaces of the punches to reduce the force required to remove plugs from the mattress.
As we continue to construct and perform product testing, other improvements will be
implemented to improve the quality of the product. These changes will be documented in
the construction design document.
