Project work – Group Assignment

1. Select and briefly describe a company that you think applies a Lean approach in a given
industry segment.

Then, further describe the company’s approach as follows:

2. Describe the context that triggered the company to adopt the Lean approach – one slide.
3. Demonstrate the application of a Lean approach by using at least 2 relevant examples –
one slide per application of lean.
4. For one of the chosen area, do Value-stream mapping, identify few wastes and suggest
improvements – 2-3 slides
5. Explain how the Lean approach led to a shift of mindset within this company. Illustrate
the mindset shift by using at least 2 relevant examples – one slide for each mind set
change.

Exclusion:

Certain cases are mentioned in the course curriculum. Those cases can not be taken for purpose
of this work
